About Us

Doo Dah Days is an annual, one-day festival to celebrate the life of Lawrenceville composer, Stephen Foster, considered by many to be the father of pop music. Held in the Allegheny Cemetery, the sixth oldest rural cemetery in the United States and the burial place of Stephen Foster, this picnic-style festival features everything from music to food to horse drawn carriage tours, children’s activities and everything in between. The bands at the festival will be performing Foster music or Foster-era music. The 2009 Festival will also recognize the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln.

This is a festival you can truly make your own. Whether you want to sit and listen to the bands all day, take in the history by talking to reenactors and taking a guided tour of the cemetery or splash around in the enormous fountain and consume your weight in food, you’re sure to find something to please.
